Dropout Prevention Program
The United Way of Broward County recognized this program with its Community Building Award as the Agency Program of the Year in Helping Children Succeed. Dropout Prevention Program uses Foster Grandparents working with children in danger of academic failure and children under the jurisdiction of the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice.
Volunteers focus on students with failing grades, low achievement test scores, disruptive behavior, poor school attendance and juveniles in residential and correctional facilities.
