Foster Grandparent Program – early learning education to children and youth with special needs through tutoring, mentoring, and providing nurturing attentive care. This intergeneration program gives purpose and focus to older volunteers, while giving children a person they can rely on to help them learn to read and develop life skills.

Senior Companion Program – provides in-home, supportive, individualized services to homebound frail elderly and adults with disabilities; and provides respite services to family caregivers of frail elderly individuals. The volunteers keep these individuals living independently in their own homes. One year of Senior Companion services costs $4,800 vs. the cost of nursing home care at $77,000 per year.
